When the city veterinarian is a major part of the problem, what can we expect. Of all the government officials we interviewed, you would expect that the city vet would be the first to uphold the Animal Welfare Act and not be the number one violator of the law. We have verified and confirmed that the office of Dr. Brigit Piok is engaged in graft and corrupt practices (dogs rounded up and sold are not recorded accurately). Their office diligently patrols the city of Baguio (as admitted by no less then the Baguio City Vice Mayor, refer to his interview) rounding up stray dogs only to be sold and auctioned of on a weekly basis to dog eaters themselves. Those officials in Baguio should abolish these office, perhaps Dr. Brigit Piok should just blatantly join the dog trade instead of using her office and keeping her title for the advancement of the illegal dog trade. |
