There you have it, straight  from the mouth of the Baguio City Police Director, the highest police official in Baguio City who obviously is one of those who chooses to keep his eyes closed to the dog meat trade, due perhaps to the fear of offending some other local higher official, lest he ends up being kicked out of the City, or what could it be? This is one big joker, get a load of  this crap he said  “… There is a unit  that focused its effort on this particular enforcement of or implementation of this law…”  “…there is a task force created for this purpose.” Oh is that so Mr. Chief of Police, are you not aware that as the Chief of Police it is your duty to  arrest, apprehend dog traders,  butchers and operators of illegal dog slaughterhouses etc.. No wonder fresh  dog meat is selling like crazy at the market place. You made mention of a task force having been created to go against violators of the Animal Welfare Act - did you create one? Based on our research when we were in Baguio City, your office doesn’t have one, or perhaps this task force is a creation of yours all in your head. The sooner they kick you out of the city as Chief of Police the better it will be for the implementation of the Animal Welfare Act.
