INTERVIEWER:  Ah, is… there are some cultural differences between America and the Philippines and in some of them, you know... are so different.  The Americans are wondering what kind of culture does that mean to you and the biggest one that the Americans are always wondering about is, you know, dog eating, here in Philippines.  Is it just a local cultural thing that we need to understand?  Is it a crime to eat dogs or is it, is it a concern for Americans?
GALWAN:  I think a concern to the Americans and I told this that ah.. you know it’s the culture of the Cordilleras.  It’s been an old culture in the Cordilleras... this doggie issue, but it’s not primarily seen as a crime or against or cruelty to animals because if you see our culture, it's like other Asian cultures... it is the same, but they are not seen as cruelty to animals.  It is a part of our culture.  Sometimes it is ceremonial in nature.  It is not necessarily pagan's or cruelty to animals.
INTERVIEWER:  Okay.
